Back in 1984 or 85,I put together a kickass original band called UNDER THE INFLUENCE. The players were myself on Bass, Mike Scialfa on Keyboards (from The Whistler Band), Dave DePietro from TT Quick(above) on Guitar,and both Boom Carter (Billy Hector) and Pete Maier (Zeke Moffit,Stir Crazy) on drums.We did a lot of recording, but never gigged out as that band. Our management was a guy from Johnstown PA. named Dave Riley. He was hooked up with Doc McGee, and was pushing the Album that was released..Dave Died in a shopping mall one afternoon.... I had many variations of the BAND over quite a few years including having JOHN VITOLA (AKA:JOHN NASTY) singing and MARY McCRINK(Sister Mary and the Bad Habits) singing the GIRLY parts but... it wasn't until KENNY SEGAL and then RICKY DRAPPER(on right) joined in on KICKASS Guitar & DRUMS that "UNDER THE INFLUENCE"! started "KICKIN the SHIT" out of all the local gin joints like THE STONE PONY, THE BRIGHTON BAR, BAR ANTICIPATION, THE SAINT, as well as other venues between Manhattan(Check out my Manhattan Picture on the WYKKED ADVENTURE Pages) and Atlantic City!....THE NAME CHANGED AND the Song GOT HEavIER and we morphed into what is now know as WYKKED TRIP! WYKKED TRIP is UNDER THE INFLUENCE! ..........AAHHHH!.... |
